Data Center Community Meeting at Ypsilanti Township Civic Center on Jan 14th
Ypsilanti Township will be presenting:

- Question & Answer Period - Questions will be taken and collected via notecard. Presenters will answer as many questions as possible before closing comments.
- Closing Comments
Be prepared to show ticket at the door for admittance.
No signs or noise makers will be permitted.
There will be no re-entry into the building.
Seating attendance is limited. Each person attending must register for a seat. No standing room permitted.
Registration is required (first-come, first-served). Capacity has been reached, and registration is now closed.
If you reserved a seat, but are no longer able to attend, please cancel your ticket so the next person on the waitlist can be notified.
A second meeting will be scheduled on a different date, for those unable to attend this first meeting.

Will the community meeting be live-streamed or on Zoom?
This meeting is only being held in-person however, there will be an audio recording (similar to our Board Meetings) as well as a video recording available on our website and YouTube after the meeting. Press also plans to be present. We will share recordings and articles on our page for More Information on the Proposed Data Center as it becomes available after the meeting.
Why are you requiring registration for a public meeting?
Our board room does have a capacity limit for fire safety. The free registration is and first-come, first served. This will help us keep a count on how many plan to attend. If the waitlist begins to fill up once available tickets are accounted for, a second meeting will be held. Anyone who is interested in a second informational community meeting, please join the waitlist. This will also notify waitlisters if a registration spot opens up.
Will U of M be presenting or in attendance?
The informational community meeting is a presentation by Ypsilanti Township. There are no presentations from U of M planned for this meeting.
U of M is to host an open house on Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm on proposed high-performance computing facility at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest, Roy Wilbanks Ballroom. Registration is required.
Members of the University of Michigan community and the general public are welcome to submit video or written public comments to the Board of Regents that will be reviewed prior to the next meeting on February 19, 2026. An online form will be made available on the UM Board of Regents page from 9:00am on February 12, 2026 - 5:00pm on February 16, 2026.
