Serafinski Scholarship Fund

Ypsilanti Township prides itself on being a community of opportunity. It is with that sentiment in mind that the Art Serafinski Scholarship Fund was started. The scholarship named in honor of former longtime director Art Serafinski, has a purpose to provide youth recreation opportunities with our department.

This scholarship is need-based and designed to allow children up to age 17 to participate in our recreation classes and leagues at a discounted rate if eligible. Those eligible will receive 50% off their registration fees and up to $250 in aid per child per calendar year.

Serafinski Scholarship Golf Outing

Proceeds from this annual golf outing will be used to fund our Scholarship for youth of Ypsilanti Township and beyond to participate in activities offered within the Township. The outing will consist of 4 person teams competing in a scramble. We will have raffle prizes as well as prizes for the winners of the outing, closest to the pin on the par 3s and a long drive champion as well. In 2025, scholarship funds will be raised via the Divot Dash 5K "Fore the Cause" at Green Oaks Golf Course Oct 4th.
