NEW Civic Center Office Hours Begin Jan 5th

We are pleased to share that beginning Monday, January 5, 2026, NEW regular office hours are being extended to be open during the lunch hour.

The Ypsilanti Township Civic Center will be open Monday - Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm.

In October of 2010, the Board of Trustees voted to close the Civic Center during the lunch hour from 12:00pm - 1:00pm, primarily due to reduced office staffing.

We have witnessed many residents who have tried to conduct business to pay their tax bills, vote, obtain building permits, information from ordinance, etc. Township staffing has been restored during the last year, and the Ypsilanti Township Board of Trustees has agreed that it is time for Civic Center be open from 8:30am - 4:30pm for our residents.

We look forward to serving our residents, business owners, and community members with more convenience to complete tasks throughout their day.
