Veterans Community Gathering at the Veterans Memorial Nov 2nd

Veterans and their support network are encouraged to come out to the Civic Center/Veterans Memorial (7200 S Huron River Dr) on Sunday, November 2, 2025 at 1:00pm.

Enjoy a free meal sponsored by DTE from Lucky Beez Food Truck while we think of and talk about those we have lost to veteran suicide and help those who are struggling.

You only need to bring a lawn chair. Everything else will be provided. Those who have lost a veteran to suicide may also come to the location to write that veteran's name on a cross so that the veteran will never be forgotten.


22aday.org is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation formed in Michigan in 2021. Since 9/11, we have lost more military servicemembers to suicide than to combat. 22 A Day is here to change that. Their first mission is to help people realize the magnitude of the problem. As people become aware, their second mission is to help people learn what they can do about it. One way to help is with the Community Awareness Project. This is where 22 crosses will be added to a field every day for 30 days symbolizing the lives lost to Veteran suicide. Please join us at 10:00am every morning through October 31st at the Ypsilanti Township Civic Center (7200 S Huron River Dr) to help add the crosses.
