14B District Court Closures & Renovations

Please be advised that the 14B District Court will begin renovations of its current space beginning Monday, December 16, 2024. As such, the Court will be closed to the public from Monday, December 16th - Friday, December 20th.

As you may know, the Court has received a grant for much-needed security renovations and, as a result, the courthouse side of the Township Civic Center will remain closed until the Fall of 2025. However, court operations will continue, and clerical staff will be available on the Township side of the building starting December 23, 2024 for payments and filings.

Please note that the Court will be closed Tuesday, December 24th & Wednesday, December 25th for Christmas and Tuesday, December 31st & Wednesday, January 1st for the New Year Holiday.

 

While most court hearings will be held virtually, any in-person hearings and/or trials will take place at a location other than 14B, with the exception of jury selection which will occur in the Ypsilanti Township Boardroom. We urge everyone to carefully review their court notices for the exact location of each hearing.
