Zoning Board of Appeals Vacancies
Charter Township of Ypsilanti is looking to fill two alternate positions for the Zoning Board of Appeals.
The Zoning Board of Appeals meets on the first Wednesday of every month. The work sessions begin at 6:00pm, and the meetings begin at 6:30pm. The Zoning Board of Appeals has the authority to hear and determine appeals of administrative decisions and variance applications and make interpretations of Zoning Ordinance Provisions. The appointees will receive a $75 stipend per meeting.
In order to qualify for the Zoning Board of Appeals, candidates must be a registered voter who has resided in the Charter Township of Ypsilanti for at least 30 days, be 18 years of age or older, and a U.S. citizen.
Those interested must send a letter of interest and resume to the Charter Township of Ypsilanti Clerk’s Office (7200 S. Huron River Rd, Ypsilanti, MI 48197 or to [email protected]). Submissions will be accepted until 12:00pm on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Please note that Civic Center hours are from 8:30am – 4:30pm, closed from 12:00pm – 1:00pm for lunch daily.
The Board of Trustees will consider these appointments at the Tuesday, December 17, 2024 board meeting.
